Testbericht zur Videofunktion der EOS 5D Mark II
Auf Slashcam ist ein neuer Artikel erschienen, der sich nochmal sehr detailliert mit den Videofunktionen der EOS 5D befasst und zahlreiche Aspekte behandelt. Sehr lesenswert!
So wird insgesamt auf das sehr positive Abschneiden der SLR hingewiesen:
Mit entsprechend lichtstarken Optiken spielt die Canon EOS 5D MK II hier souverän ihr enormes Schärfentiefe-Potential aus - kaum eine andere derzeit zur Verfügung stehende HD-Video-Cam kann hier mithalten. Selbst zehnfach teurere Camcorder können der Canon in Sachen gestaffelter Schärfe im Raum nicht das Wasser reichen. Mehr „Filmlook“ geht derzeit nicht.
Firmware Update im April 2009?
Es verdichten sich die Gerüchte, dass Canon bereits im April ein weiteres Update der Firmware anbieten wird (derzeit ist die Version 1.07 aktuell, auf die man hier updaten kann).
I’ve just received insider information from Canon.
Someone I know, who had to make a video clip for a well known music star in Switzerland, spoke to a higher-up from Canon. They told him that the release of the 5D Mark II was actually not planned for October but rather for Sping 2009.
But since Nikon released a video DSLR (D90) they were forced to also release one.
Originally full manual control was planned but they couldn’t finish it by the time of the release.
This of course explaines also the low suply from Canon.
Well if this is true we have a good chance to see a firmware update soon.
